Album Review: Every Time I Die – From Parts Unknown

From Parts Unknown by Every Time I Die

#aotd is  From Parts Unknown by Every Time I Die. On this album Every Time I Die are more ferocious then ever and this ferocity paired with the production of Converge’s Kurt Ballou is a match made in heaven. The songs are short and to the point and the album doesn’t slow down until the song “Moor” which is definitely an album highlight. Keith Buckley shrieks and yells like he has been set on fire and comes off as desperate and depraved in his lyrics. The album is full of memorable one-liners as well (“blow your fucking brains out” is the first line on the album). The rest of the band play their hearts out, while still maintaining their distinct southern-style amongst the chaos. This album was my favourite heavy album last year and is still a fucking blast everytime I listen to it, if you haven’t heard it, go check it out already.
